Best advice
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever had?

Cliche : “ Never judge a book by its cover”.
& “ Never ask people to do something you wouldn’t do yourself”

My West Ham season ticket holding history teacher told me "You can't win a raffle if you don't buy a ticket". I love that.

Knowing the answer isn't important, it's knowing how to find out what the answer is.

Re: Best advice
The few I try and follow are:

- when you're at the end of things, no one looks back and wishes theyd spend more time in the office (so work to live)

- always respect yourself. If you don't, why should anyone else.

- treat other people the way you would wish to be treated.

And one I've added recently:

- Dont let your kids do anything that would make you dislike them (either when viewed as ypur own, or as if they they were someone else's in your presence)

Never try to outwit an idiot - they’ll just reduce the argument down to their own level and then beat you at their own game
